The novel HALO mini-DOAS instrument: inferring trace gas concentrations from airborne UV/visible limb spectroscopy under all skies using the scaling method

Published in Atmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2017

This paper describes a custom-built airborne DOAS spectrometer which was developed at the IUP Heidelberg.

Shipborne measurements of XCO2, XCH4, and XCO above the Pacific Ocean and comparison to CAMS atmospheric analyses and S5P/TROPOMI

Published in Earth System Science Data, 2021

This paper describes ship-borne measurements with a FTIR spectrometer over the Pacific. We developed a weather-proof enclosure for an EM27/SUN FTIR and performed five weeks of observations.

Versatile and Targeted Validation of Space-Borne XCO2, XCH4 and XCO Observations by Mobile Ground-Based Direct-Sun Spectrometers

Published in Frontiers in Remote Sensing, 2022

This paper is a follow-up paper on the ship-borne FTIR spectrometer publication, which now is in cooperation with Japans National Institute of Environmental Science (NIES).

Spectrometric imaging of sub-hourly methane emission dynamics from coal mine ventilation

Published in Environmental Research Letters, 2023

We conducted a field campaign in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, Poland, where we measured the methane emission dynamics on the time scale of minutes by spectrometric imaging.

Quantitative imaging of carbon dioxide plumes using a ground-based shortwave infrared spectral camera

Published in Atmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2024

First-time ground-based imaging of CO2 plumes and a quantitative validation of the emission estimates using Gaussian plume inversion.

Tutor for math and physics

teaching lessons, Secondary school and university, 2010

I’ve always enjoyed teaching and already started it besides my studies during school in 2010. I’ve been a personal tutor for math and physics for many students over the years since then, covering different levels from the very basics of middle school to university, and group size of one to 15 students.
